Opened in 2016, the new campus of ShanghaiTech is on approximately one square kilometer in Shanghai. YCG collaborated with master planners and design team Moore Ruble Yudell to resolve challenges related to circulation, food, services and operations. For example, servicing was relocated underground to create a pedestrian-priority campus, improve connectivity and allow for open space and water features. The highly rgarded university's research and entrepreneurial studies focus on fields including health, technology, and the environment.
